Welcome to the web site of Casas Adobes Congregational Church, an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. We are so happy that you have made your way to our site.
We hope that as you explore our messages and programs, you will want to come and experience us live and in person! Casas Adobes UCC is a vibrant community of faith that loves music, good conversation and discussion, creative programming for children and youth, and a faith that sustains and challenges us to look beyond ourselves to help build God's vision here on earth. It is our hope that we can be a place for you as you grow in your spiritual journey. We hope that you come to learn from us as we look forward to learning from you.
This is a loving community that has something of the traditional - in look and feel and style - yet we want you to know that it is very much a part of the emerging world in its outlook. We keep asking the question, Who can we serve and how can we do it with a positive outcome?
We are an intentionally open and affirming congregation. We believe in being inclusive and support a diverse community (regardless of age, educational or economic background, physical or mental ability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation, political affiliation, ethnicity or race).
In our worship and in our philosophy we do honor the words of Congregationalist minister John Robinson, "There is yet more light and truth to break forth from the word of God." In that regard we take the bible seriously, not literally and our theology is on the progressive end of the spectrum. Please come and say hello to us during one of our worship times, we hope you will join us our on journey as we all strive to live God's love more fully in our lives.
Vision Statement:
Creating vibrant community for all where God is real.
Mission Statement:
Listening for the voice of our still-speaking God, we actively seek to make Jesus' message come alive in caring ways. We welcome, love and challenge all, using the gifts God has given each of us to equip one another to take Jesus' ministry into our community and world - Learning , growing and serving together, "that they may all be one." John 17:21.

Bylaws Proposal Passes
At a congregational meeting November 20 church members voted to adopt the proposed new Bylaws for a test period of not less than one year to begin on April 1, 2012. Current Council members and committee members remain in office until then and work continues within the current Bylaws until that date.
Under the new Bylaws, the Church Council is comprised of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, two Members at Large and six Ministry leaders. Church members interested in filling any of these positions should contact Jean Huisjen or the church office. Elections will be held at the annual meeting in March 2012 and the terms of office will begin April 1, 2002.
County Approves New Sign
The Pima County Board of Adjustments approved the church's proposed new signage December 5. Council President George Gluski said the church should be able to get contracts into place and be ready to go by the first of February. He praised Patty Warren, an architect and member of CACC, for her excellent presentation at the open hearing and thanked her for taking charge of this project and seeing it to conclusion, saying "Awesome job!"
Strategic Plan Endorsed
On January 8th the congregation unanimously endorsed the new Strategic Plan for 2012 - 2014. This three year plan is designed to continue to create vibrant community where God is Real. The congregation realizes that it is now in there hands to implement the plan. With the guidance of God and work of our community we will strive to make our dreams come true. A big thank you to the committee that created such a vibrant and detailed plan for us to follow.
