What We Believe
We believe the Bible should be taken seriously, but not literally. We acknowledge Jesus Christ as head of the Church; we look to the Word of God in the Scriptures and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to prosper its creative and redemptive work in the world. We are open to new ideas of God made known to us, to the emergence of new groups within the established traditions, and to sources of new life and celebration. From our traditions and varied theological understandings we have come to see the Christian faith as a life to be lived, a faith to be confessed, a vision to be embraced, a piety to be practiced, and an ethic to be implemented. Casas Adobes Congregational Church is a church with a caring heart, a church vitally alive and relevant to the personal needs of our people.
