marie_webAssociate Minister Marie Bacchiocchi
The Rev. Marie Bacchiocchi grew up in Mansfield, Massachusetts where she learned to be a Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and Bruins fan. She attended Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in religion and minored in music, Harvard Divinity School, where she received her M.Div., and Rhode Island College, where she received her MAT in elementary education. She has served churches in Minnesota, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Arizona. She is a born and raised Italian Roman Catholic who joined the UCC in 1988. Marie loves working collaboratively and enjoys finding new avenues for ministry. One of her passions in educational ministry is creating programs that excite children and youth while reminding adults that learning about God is fun. She also loves bringing people together and helping them find their common priorities and passions. Marie and her partner, Sandy Clockedile, have been friends since college. They share their sometimes chaotic home with three pets: the cats, Brownie and Key-Key; and the dog, Louie. Her hobbies include singing, ballroom dancing, hiking, knitting, and crocheting.Marie started with us in October 2007. jeff_webInterim Senior Pastor - Jeff Barton
Jeff Barton has been in United Church of Christ programs and congregations since 1979 when he was a seminary intern at Parkview Congregational UCC in Aurora, Colorado. He has been a pastor, a campus minister, an associate pastor, a senior minister and a UCC conference association minister. Jeff has served the UCC in Idaho, New Hampshire and Montana for longer calls and in Wyoming, Wisconsin and Oregon for shorter terms and interims. He has served as an interim minister in four settings and is looking to continue to do intentional interim work for the extension of his active ministry career.Jeff has been with Casas Adobes UCC since February of 2009. He is a native of Minneapolis, and has academic degrees from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA and from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver. He now permanently resides among the mountains, rivers and people of the Portland, Oregon area, where he enjoys skiing in the winter and river rafting in the summer. He's a 21 handicap in golf and prefers jazz and blues in his musical tastes. Jeff and the congregation expect to be in shared service until the call of the next Senior Pastor; in mid 2010 or so. Jeff has two young adult children. Jed lives and writes in Billings, Montana. Katie has begin her graduate studies in medical school in Portland, Oregon. Jeff has a significant other, Rev.
