STEWARDSHIP MESSAGE

“We’re All In!”  But what does this mean?
In some circles the expression reflects that moment when a team commits to an idea.  After intense brainstorming, a single voice breaks the tension. That single voice affirms, “I’m in!”, followed by echoes of the others--- “I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, too”  each person emphasizing the I.
At some point, though, the I’s become the uniting “We”, and the team knows that “We’re all in!”

In betting circles, the phrase “I’m all in!” exudes an all-or-nothing attitude. The player sees an opportunity and offers everything he or she has towards it.   This type of risk-taking can be just the leap-of-faith necessary for the big pay-off.  In our case, if we all assume the all-or-nothing attitude in offering of our God given time and talent, how can we lose?

In yet other circles, “I’m All In” implies complete exhaustion after hard work.  While this could have a negative connotation, why should it?  What is better than the satisfaction that we have worked hard toward an authentic purpose? Feeling spent indicates that we have given it our all!  As Reverend Jeff illuminated in his “Come Passion” sermon, God provides limitless love.  Come, Passion!  With God at our core, let us not limit ours!

We’re All In!
The path of doves sweeping through our sanctuary represents us!  We Are All In this journey of faith together. Each dove is signed by a church member who fully possesses unique gifts and talents.  Let us set our missions in flight!

Thanks to All,  Stewardship Committee
