Church Budget Deficit Challenge Usually at the end of the long, hot Tucson summer our CACC budget is running a deficit due to reduced summer offerings because many families are on vacation and the loss of our winter guests. This year was no exception and we have a deficit at the end August of $31,186. Although we are in better shape than last year at this time, I need your help again in reducing this deficit. The committees are managing their spending and we continue to be frugal. As you know we started the year projecting a small deficit based on the returned pledge cards and our estimates. I now need to raise your awareness of our budget challenge and ask you to review your pledge commitment to see if you are current. We also need every member to see if they can give a little something extra toward the budget deficit and if you can please identify it on your check or envelope as “budget deficit” so we can track it. With approximately 400 church members you can do the math and determine it would take only a small extra contribution from each member to balance our budget by year end. Due to your generosity last year, when we faced even a larger deficit at this time, we completed the year with a balanced budget. Thanks you in advance for your help in meeting this challenge.

 Jack Dean, CACC Treasurer
