Another example of different denominations working together: Clergy and lay members joined January 23 in a Prayer Service marking the beginning of the Worldwide Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. The Rev. Dr. John Dorhauer, Conference Minister of the United Church of Christ's Southwest Conference preached the sermon. Among those participating in the service were Rev. Edward Pietrucha, CSP, St. Cyril of Alexandria Parish; the Rev. John Kitigawa, Rector of St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church; the Rev. Stephen Springer, pastor of Dove of Peace Lutheran Church and Dean of Santa Cruz Conference of the Grand Canyon Synod of the ELCA; Rev. Marie Bacciocchi, Casas Adobes Congregational Church, UCC; Father Earl Cantos; Pastor Raven Gaston; Dr. Carolyn Redmore, President, Church Women United in Arizona; and the Rev. Lee Milligan, Casas Adobes Congregational Church, UCC.
