Mark Erickson's detailed wood carvings of southwestern birds fascinated people at his October 23 exhibit, part of CACC's Adventures in Art series. Mark brought 18 of the 40 birds he has created in the past five years, filling a 30-foot stretch of display tables in McNear Hall. He answered questions about the tools he uses and explained the long process of research and sketching a pattern that precedes the actual carving process.
