Prize winning reporter Brady McCombs will present his candid appraisal of U.S./Mexican border issues when the Casas Adobes Forum series resumes at 11:30 Sunday morning, September 18, in McNear Hall.
McCombs has covered border and immigration issues for the Arizona Daily Star for more than five years. He speaks Spanish fluently and knows the borderland and its people. The hour-long program will include time for questions. It is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
Forums are held on the third Sundays of most months. On October 16 historian Stephen Stillwell, Jr, will describe how old tribal rivalries underlie modern Middle East conflicts. The November 20 speaker, Amphitheater School District Board member Kent Barrabee, will ask "Can Public Education Survive?"
